Restaurants, bars, and hotels looking to up the ante with something to talk about have certainly got something worth talking about with Captive Media’s streaming new urinal games has become more than a major talking point, but have prompted laughs and created conversation for many business owners and patrons.

“This is a streaming technology that has become a major talking point for many restaurants, bars, and hotel owners… a medium that’s turns existing urinals into an interactive medium, one World Cup Soccer fans will greatly appreciate,” said a Creative Media spokesperson.

“This makes for a great bar promotion idea, and which has been promoting laughs and created conversation at various places, like bars, restaurants, and hotels,” added the source. “Already installed in men’s bathrooms since late 2017, the interactive game has been allowing persons to take on various challenges based on the target of their stream.”

Patented sensors inside the screens allow visitors to control peeing games just by aiming left or right in the bowl.

“Naturally, guys love it … 87% will tell a friend about their visit,” said the spokesperson. “Between games, facility owners can be used the urinal streaming media for their own branded promotions. The medium is also great for customer referrals and increased sales.”

Captive Media fits above existing bowls or urinal troughs. So, unlike novelty keg urinals or ‘lips urinals’ persons won’t need a plumber. “And this commercial bar designs talking point changes every month,” said the source.

One exclusive bar and restaurant on the Spanish coast, La Sala, has reportedly installed Captive Media’s funny urinals as part of a £2m make-over. According to co-owner Charley Caradas: “The condition of restrooms always leaves a lasting impression. So, when they are clean, funky and have obviously had some attention, people make that association with the venue.  Frankly they’ve already paid for themselves.

Like La Sala, The Wave Hotel is Bourne Leisure’s newest, and their No.1 venue has installed facilities that included Kindle libraries, iPhone docking stations and a games room with the latest Captive Media streaming technologies.

Captive Media bathroom technologies, which is busy facilitating the makeover of the washrooms of the future, is becoming contagious. Take Jak’s Pub and Steakhouse on Loch Promenade in Douglas for example. They have recently completed a refurbishment including putting Captive Media units in their washrooms.

“We think they have done a spectacular job which shows how amazing washrooms could and should look,” noted the source.

Jak’s has a range of high tech equipment and are worth a visit. They already have one expert player of ‘On The Piste,’ aptly named Teddy Bear as he has mashed 51 penguins in one session – or should that be ‘Polar Bear.’
