Authorities said an officer is investigating the death of a person on the runway at the Austin, Texas, airport, where a Southwest Airlines flight change policy reported that the person had seen the landing and tried to avoid the collision, Officials said.

The airline said in a statement that Flight 1392, a flight from Dallas to Southwest Airlines Cancellation Policy, was approved to land at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and landed safely on the scheduled runway at 8:12 pm. local time.
