Brand embraces bold flavors, made-from-scratch goodness and community spirit

To be bold, you need to dare to do things differently. It was in this spirit that Savage Burrito was created, a brand that embraces the fierce, bold nature of individuality. A part of the Uncle Julio’s Restaurant Group, Savage Burrito is a virtual kitchen that hand-crafts delicious burritos, bowls and salads using the freshest ingredients, house-made tortillas and signature sauces. Savage Burrito has launched in Chicago on West North Avenue, in Lombard/Oakbrook, Naperville, Orland Park and Skokie, and is now available exclusively through third-party delivery services.

Being bold and unafraid to embrace originality is baked into the DNA of Savage Burrito. Its custom burritos, bowls and salads are hand-crafted in the kitchens of Uncle Julio’s and emphasize from-scratch cooking and bold flavor combinations. The signature burritos are wrapped with flavor-infused tortillas (traditional style, as well as jalapeno or Cholula flavored), then are lightly pressed to create a perfectly-crisp texture.

Savage Burrito was created to meet the evolving needs of customers looking for high-quality delivery options easily accessible from their favorite apps such as Door Dash, Grubhub, Uber Eats or Postmates. Operating as a virtual restaurant, there are no physical locations.

Signature items include The O.G. in your choice of mesquite grilled steak, chicken or vegetables, with fresh avocado, chipotle crema, jack cheese, white rice, black beans, roasted corn, sautéed peppers and onions. It may seem familiar, but the from-scratch approach takes it to the next level.

Other solid picks include the Cholula tortilla-wrapped Nashville Hot Chicken with hand-breaded chicken and the Savage Garden, with six slices of fresh avocado for those looking for a vegetarian experience.

Savage Signature items (burritos, bowls and salads) start at $7.50.

Create-your-own options give people the ability to customize a burrito, bowl or salad exactly as they want with dozens of fresh ingredients, cooked-to-order proteins and homemade sauces. Want to layer on the goodness? Choose to add chips and roasted tomato salsa, white Hatch chili queso, fresh guac or other sides to your delivery order. And don’t sleep on dessert: a dozen churro bites with decadent chocolate sauce are also available.

Savage Burrito’s flair for the bold does not stop at the drinks. Margaritas to go are available as Frozen Margarita Pops (where available and through select third-party delivery services), and come in boozy traditional, hibiscus or mango flavors, frozen into a slushy pop. Bottles of Corona Familiar, Corona and Modelo Especial are also available to be delivered with a Savage Burrito food order. Soft drinks include Coke, Diet Coke, Izze sparkling juices and Topo Chico.

Savage Burrito makes some damned good food, but it also aims to make a difference. The company will use its social channels to highlight people being bold and having a positive impact on their communities. A #SavageSquad of like-minded individuals has been started to help people meet the brand’s vibe IRL and introduce people to the Savage #BurritoFam.

Through its excellent food and inclusive brand, Savage Burrito hopes to be the choice for those who believe in the difference that fresh, from-scratch food makes; those that celebrate individuality and adventure; and those savage enough to never stop being real.

Fans will be able to interact with Savage Burrito on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok (@savageburrito) and Snapchat (@savage-burritos). A custom Savage Spotify playlist is now available to drop to your device as well.
